1. Charminar

2. Ramoji Film City
Ramoji Film City is located about 30 km from Hyderabad, on the way to Vijayawada on NH-9. It is known among the largest and glamorous film studios in the world. It has found its way in to the Guinness Book of World Records as well.

3. Nehru Zoological Park
Nehru Zoological Park is situated in Bahadurpur area, which is about 16 km from the city of Hyderabad. The park was established in 1959 and it was opened in 1963. It covers about 300 acres of land and is inhabited by more than 1500 species of wildlife. The zoo is home to species like Asiatic lion, royal Bengal tiger and white tiger, black panther, rhinoceros, crocodile, American bison, chinkara, orangutan, etc. Reptilian species like Indian cobra, giant tortoises, star tortoises, water turtles, Russell’s viper, giant rock- python, etc. can also be found here.

4. Golconda Fort
The word ‘Golconda’ originated from ‘Golla Konda’ which stands for ‘Shepherd’s Hill’ in Telugu. Golconda Fort came under the control of many dynasties like Yadava Dynasty, Kakatiya Dynasty, Bahmani Dynasty, Qutb Shahis and Mughal Dynasty. The main features of Golconda Fort are its royal palaces, efficient water supply system, and whispering walls. Fateh Rahben gun, a cannon used by Aurangzeb to demolish the blockades of Golconda Fort, is an important exhibit of this fort.

5. Hussain Sagar Lake
Hussain Sagar Lake of Hyderabad is the largest artificial lake in Asia. This lake was excavated during the reign of Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah by Hussain Shah Wali in 1562 AD. It is built on the tributary of the River Musi, had been of significance in the early days since it connected the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

6. Kuntala Waterfalls
Kuntala Waterfalls is situated in the middle of the Sahyadri mountain range near Neredikonda village in Adilabad. This waterfall is the highest waterfall of the state of Telangana.

7. Warangal Fort
Warangal Fort is spread over a radius of 19 km between Warangal and Hanamkonda. This fort is also famous for its intricately carved arches and pillars; and four large stone gateways. The temple inside the fort is dedicated to the Mother Earth, Swayambhudevi.

8. Bhadrachala Rama Temple
Another popular temple situated at 35 km from the city of Bhadrachalam is the Bhadrachala Rama Temple. This temple is the main temple complex of the abode of the Lord Sri Rama while it also comprises various smaller temples of other gods and goddesses. 9. Salar Jung Museum
Salar Jung Museum consists of about 40,000 items in its collection, which was collected from different parts of the world. This museum was opened for public display by the former Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

10. Birla Mandir
Birla Mandir, dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara of Tirumala Tirupati Temple, is made of white marble brought from Rajasthan. The architectural style of the temple is a blend of North Indian and South Indian styles of temple architecture.
