1. Packing too much
Do you really need every item you want to pack? After finishing a hike, many hikers would admit to having overpacked, whether it was with food or equipment. We suggest deciding what you’ll need for the particular hike and bringing only the essentials.
2. Food quality
While hiking, it’s important to think about the nutrients, calories, protein and carbohydrate complexity of the food you eat. While 2-minute noodles can be easy and small to pack, they are not a great choice for trekking food.
3. Going too fast
Trekking requires patience and perseverance. You cannot rush and hope to be safe. In addition to having a negative impact on your health, going too fast could result in injuries.
4. Wrong Shoes
When preparing for a major trek, many hikers become too excited and rush to get new footwear, which causes blisters. Before going into the wilderness, make sure you break into your new boots and take a long stroll in the area.
5. Not carrying sunscreen and sunglasses
Always have a powerful sunscreen and a pair of sunglasses with you to prevent the painful suntan. You would be amazed at how much damage the harmful UV rays can cause.
