Some people claim that when they walk into one of these parks, they can hear echoes of laughter and the louder silence of decay. Rusting roller coasters, abandoned bumper cars, and dirty arcade games all wait to be revived sooner or later. Except, they may never be used again.
Here are 4 creepy abandoned theme parks to explore around the world
1. Berliner Spreepark, Germany

The most incredible feature of this defunct German theme park is not the decaying relics of former rides that can be seen today, such as the giant Ferris wheel or the graffiti-covered Spreeblitz roller coaster, but the fact that it was built by East Germany’s Communist authorities as a way for the proletariat to have fun. The park was open from 1969 to 2001.
2. Pripyat Amusement Park, Ukraine

The Pripyat Amusement Park was abandoned not owing to bad weather, bankruptcy, or mismanagement, but because of the infamous Chornobyl Disaster on April 26, 1986. The park’s grand inauguration was scheduled for the first of May, and there were stories and photographic proof that Pripyat Park did open a day after the disaster, maybe to help residents cope with the disaster.
3. Mimaland, Malaysia

Situated in the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia In Miniature Land (Mimaland) lasted from 1975 until 1994. It was Southeast Asia’s first theme park, with an artificial lake, a large swimming pool with big water slides, and a Prehistoric Animal Kingdom. Following a severe mudslide and other safety concerns, the authorities ordered Mimaland’s closure.
4. Camelot Theme Park, England

The Magic Kingdom of Camelot, located in the beautiful Lancashire countryside near Manchester and Liverpool, resurrected stories about King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table on the spot of a former lake connected with the medieval legend. Once upon a time, the park had knights jousting on horseback, Merlin’s Magic Show, Dragon Flyer and Knightmare roller coasters and other medieval-themed attractions and entertainment.
