The Vivo Y31 5G has become more appealing for buyers after its latest price cut, and the device is currently listed on Flipkart at ₹16,399. The original price of the phone stood at ₹21,499, making the total drop roughly 23%. Customers can also bring the effective price further down by using the exchange option, which offers up to ₹7,900 off depending on device condition and eligibility.
The phone runs on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset built on a 4 nm process. Vivo has used an eight-core structure combining 2 × 2.2 GHz and 6 × 1.95 GHz cores, offering a steady balance between everyday performance and efficiency. Buyers get two storage variants to pick from—4 GB RAM with 128 GB storage, or 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage. The RAM uses LPDDR4X and can be expanded virtually by an additional 4 GB or 6 GB, while storage can stretch up to 2 TB thanks to a dedicated microSD slot.
Powering the device is a 6500 mAh battery coupled with 44W fast charging support. Vivo has opted for a Li-ion setup and a practical build using a composite plastic back. The handset weighs about 209 grams and measures 16.614 × 7.701 × 0.839 cm. Security is handled through a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor.
On the front, the Vivo Y31 5G features a 6.68-inch LCD screen with a 1608 × 720 resolution. The display supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, a peak HBM brightness of 1000 nits and covers 83% of the NTSC colour gamut. With a pixel density of 264 PPI, the screen focuses on smoothness over ultra-high resolution.
For connectivity, the phone comes with dual SIM support configured as nano SIM + nano SIM/microSD. It works across 2G, 3G, 4G and several 5G bands including n1, n3, n5, n8, n28B, n40, n77 and n78. SAR levels are rated at 1.130 W/kg for the head and 0.986 W/kg for the body.
The camera system includes an 8 MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a dual rear setup of 50 MP (f/1.8) and 0.08 MP (f/3.0), supported by a rear flash. Photography modes on the back include Night, Portrait, Pro, Pano, Slo-mo, Time-lapse, Documents, 50 MP mode and even Underwater Photography. The front camera offers Photo, Night, Portrait, Video and Live Photo modes.
