A Reddit post from a user claiming to be a former Flipkart employee has stirred buzz ahead of the Big Billion Days (BBD) sale. The anonymous user shared several “secrets” about the annual mega-sale event, set to go live later this month.
According to the post, there will be heavy discounts on the base model of iPhones as usual, but this year, the iPhone 16 Pro is also expected to receive nearly similar discounts — something reportedly never offered before in India.
The user further alleged that Flipkart internally shares fake prices with interns to identify potential leakers. If those numbers appear online, the company allegedly knows who to blame.

Another claim made in the post is that official iPhone pricing for the sale will be revealed 10–11 days before BBD through Flipkart’s live commerce platforms, as prices are expected to be “so low they want everyone to know.”
The Reddit user added, “Not a guess, not some leak site rumor. I was literally in the room when they discussed all of this.”
