‘The dotage of Cocktail’, a time where Cocktails were a major part of the culture and society. Back in 1970s, a good many homes had their own minibars, and cocktails were served every evening. The Renaissance of Cocktail which is contemporarily the new millennium are the style signature for pop culture. Mixing drinks is once again celebrated, laced and albeit responsibly. Stylish bars dawning every hour,  are giving  old local waterhole a run for its money. Needless to say, cocktails parties are back in vogue. It’s always cool to know a few cocktails, so when it comes to ordering at a bar, (probably never on a first date) you don’t look like a bar novice. THE OLD FASHIONED- As the name suggests, it’s a classic. The original whiskey drink. The cocktail came out exactly two centuries ago, and still it is the most respected drink in the world, and not a bit musty for its age.

COSMOPOLITAN- It’s a close friend of cranberry. The drink got popular in no time, but it was in 1980s, when it got popular internationally as it appeared in the show ” Sex in the City”. All thanks  to Carrie Bradshaw.

MANHATTAN- The name says it all, the Manhattan cocktail was originated in Manhattan Club in New York City in the early 1870s. The drink became popular as soon as it came out in public. It is the standard drink served at almost every cafe and restaurant.

MARGARITA- Margarita is the workhorse of summer. It is a very popular Mexican-American drink. This chic and very classy drink is all time favourite drink, be it a beach day, cocktail party, or any other get together.

DAIQUIRI- A citrusy marriage of lime and rum. The drink became popular in the 1940s and saw a tremendous rise of popularity in US. It is served fresh with sans ice.
