What is Micellar Water?
Micellar water is a multipurpose skin care solution that has gained popularity among dermatologists and beauty experts because of its gentleness and effectiveness in removing oil, debris, and makeup to help unclog pores and tone the skin.
It is created with purified water, moisturisers like glycerin, and mild surfactants, which are substances used in cleaning products. When these mild surfactants combine to form micelles, a type of spherical chemical structure, they aid in removing dirt and oil from the skin. It’s also alcohol-free and might support skin hydration. Lowering inflammation and irritation, it keeps your skin smooth, supple, and soft.
Is it good to be included in skincare?
They’re touted as the ideal beauty travel item because they’re convenient for trips, camping trips, and other locations where there isn’t easy access to running water. People with dry and sensitive skin types should use them because of how mild and moisturising they are on the skin. Unlike many toners, micellar water does not include alcohol and never stings, making it ideal for dry and sensitive skin. A standard foamy wash can strip the face and leave behind harsh chemicals, further drying up dry and sensitive skin. When applying micellar water, it’s also recommended to use something extremely absorbent like a cotton ball or pad so that the product may more easily absorb dirt.
This product doesn’t clean as well as you’d want if you have oilier skin, therefore people with oily skin and those who are prone to acne should use it in addition to a conventional facial cleanser.
