Shares of Voltas fell more than 2% in early trade on Friday after the company reported a weak set of Q4FY26 earnings, with profitability sharply impacted despite marginal revenue growth.
As of 9:25 AM IST, Voltas touched an intraday low of Rs 1,252.00, down from its previous close of Rs 1,293.50. The stock opened at Rs 1,280.20 and traded between Rs 1,252.00 and Rs 1,289.40 during the session.
The company posted consolidated revenue of Rs 4,888 crore in the March quarter, up 2.5% YoY compared to Rs 4,768 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
However, operating performance remained under pressure. EBITDA declined 33.6% YoY to Rs 221 crore from Rs 333 crore, while EBITDA margin contracted 250 basis points to 4.5% from 7.0% a year ago.
Net profit also witnessed a sharp decline, falling 51.9% YoY to Rs 116 crore versus Rs 241 crore reported in the year-ago period.
The weak profitability numbers appear to have disappointed investors, leading to selling pressure in the stock despite stable topline growth.
On the broader price trend, Voltas shares remain below their 52-week high of Rs 1,582.50, while the 52-week low stands at Rs 1,186.80.
