Voltas shares slipped more than 2% today after the company posted a disappointing set of numbers for the September quarter. The consolidated results showed clear pressure across revenue, profitability, and margins, dragging investor sentiment.

The company’s revenue for the quarter came in at ₹2,347 crore, which is a drop of 10.4% compared to ₹2,619 crore a year ago. The slowdown in topline performance also reflected in operating numbers, with EBITDA sliding to ₹70.3 crore from ₹162 crore last year, marking a fall of 56.6%. Operating margin weakened sharply too, dropping to 3% from 6.2% in the same period last year.

The bottom line took an even steeper hit. Net profit fell 74.4% year-on-year to ₹34.3 crore, down from ₹134 crore in the previous year’s quarter.
