Shares of VIP Industries witnessed heavy block deal activity, with nearly 26% equity of the company changing hands through two large transactions on the exchanges. However, the identities of the buyers and sellers involved in the deals have not been disclosed.
In the first block deal, about 1.58 crore shares (15,844,624 shares) were traded at a price of Rs 388 per share, translating into a transaction value of nearly Rs 614.77 crore.
This was followed by a second block deal involving 2.12 crore shares (21,192,327 shares), which were exchanged at Rs 372.95 per share, amounting to around Rs 790.37 crore.
Together, the two transactions accounted for over 3.71 crore shares, representing close to 26% of VIP Industries’ equity, with the combined value exceeding Rs 1,405 crore. Exchange data did not provide details on the counterparties to these deals.
The sizable equity movement has drawn market attention, given the scale of the transactions and the lack of clarity on the participants involved.
