Vedanta shares were in focus today after reports from Bloomberg said that a top executive heading the mining and metals division at Vedanta Resources has resigned. As of 10:47 AM, the shares were trading 1.01% lower at Rs 436.30.
According to Bloomberg, Chris Griffith, who headed the base metals business, has stepped down from his role. Griffith joined the company in 2023 and was overseeing major operations including zinc mines in South Africa and Namibia. He also served as President of Vedanta’s international business.
Vedanta has yet to issue an official statement.

Today, Vedanta stock opened at ₹438.60, and, at the time of writing, touched an intraday high of ₹442.75, and slipped to a low of ₹435.65. The stock has a 52-week high of ₹526.95 and a 52-week low of ₹363.00.
