Varun Beverages Ltd., a key bottling partner of PepsiCo Ltd., is expanding its operations in Zimbabwe and Zambia. The company announced this in an exchange filing.
Varun Foods (Zimbabwe) Pvt. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Varun Beverages, and Premier Nutrition Trading LLC, a subsidiary of PepsiCo Inc., will start manufacturing, distributing, and selling “Simba Munchiez” in Zimbabwe by October 1, 2025. This will be done from their own manufacturing facility.
Similarly, Varun Beverages (Zambia) Ltd. and Premier Nutrition Trading LLC will begin producing and selling “Simba Munchiez” in Zambia by April 1, 2026.
Varun Beverages will invest $7 million, or ₹60 crore, for each of the two special purpose vehicles (SPVs) in Zimbabwe and Zambia. These exclusive agreements will expand its portfolio with PepsiCo.
