Shares of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank gained nearly 4% in early trade on Monday, January 5, after the Bengaluru-based lender reported a solid business performance for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025.

The bank’s total deposits rose 22.2% year-on-year to Rs 42,219 crore, compared with Rs 34,494 crore a year ago. On a sequential basis, deposits increased 7.5% from Rs 39,211 crore as of September 30, 2025. Growth was supported by strong traction in low-cost deposits, with CASA balances jumping 33.1% YoY to Rs 11,533 crore. As a result, the CASA ratio improved to 27.3%, up from 25.1% in the same period last year. The credit-deposit ratio stood at 87.8% at the end of the quarter.

On the lending side, gross loan book expanded 21.6% YoY to Rs 37,055 crore, compared with Rs 30,466 crore as of December 31, 2024. Sequentially, loans grew 7.1% from Rs 34,588 crore. Growth was led by the secured portfolio, with housing loans (including micro mortgages) rising 49.6% YoY to Rs 9,560 crore, while MSME advances surged 69% to Rs 2,863 crore.

Other segments also recorded strong momentum. Vehicle loans more than doubled to Rs 823 crore, gold loans increased to Rs 557 crore, and agri banking loans rose to Rs 607 crore. Overall, the secured loan book grew 48.8% YoY to Rs 17,829 crore, with the secured portfolio now accounting for 48.1% of total advances.

During Q3 FY26, total disbursements stood at Rs 8,311 crore, marking a 55% year-on-year increase from Rs 5,362 crore in Q3 FY25. Group loan disbursements rose 70.7% to Rs 3,464 crore, while individual loan disbursements increased 42.9% to Rs 1,224 crore. Gold and vehicle loan disbursements also saw a sharp uptick during the quarter.

Asset quality trends improved, with portfolio at risk declining to 3.98% from 5.36% a year earlier. Gross NPAs eased to 2.39%, compared with 2.68% in the year-ago period. Write-offs during the quarter amounted to Rs 119.6 crore.

The bank clarified that the numbers disclosed are provisional and subject to audit and review.
