Among Nifty 50 constituents, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation was the top gainer, trading 6.5% higher at ₹264.00 in midday trade.
Bharat Electronics was trading at ₹432.50, up 4.0%.
Shares of Hindalco Industries were up 3.8% at ₹998.70 during the session.
Coal India traded 3.6% higher at ₹438.00.
Eternal was up 3.1%, trading at ₹261.80.
In the financial segment, Bajaj Finance was trading at ₹933.00, up 2.0%.
Adani Enterprises rose 1.9% to ₹1,996.70.
Shares of Power Grid Corporation of India were up 1.7% at ₹258.60.
SBI Life Insurance traded 1.5% higher at ₹2,068.10.
Heavyweight Reliance Industries was also up 1.5%, trading at ₹1,400.50.
