The benchmark indices were trading higher in midday trades, as of 12:10 PM, with the NIFTY at 25,550.50, up 79.40 points or 0.31%, while the SENSEX rose 221.77 points or 0.27% to 82,848.53. Bank Nifty gained 0.50%, whereas Midcap Nifty was down 0.39%.

Among the Nifty 50 constituents, the following stocks emerged as the top gainers:

Power Grid Corporation of India was the top performer, rising 3.8% to ₹298.0.

Coal India advanced 3.0% to ₹421.1.

HDFC Bank gained 2.4% to ₹925.6.

Max Healthcare Institute moved up 2.0% to ₹1,074.9.

Adani Enterprises added 1.6% to ₹2,170.6.

NTPC rose 1.5% to ₹368.5.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone increased 1.3% to ₹1,538.9.

Axis Bank climbed 1.3% to ₹1,349.4.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation edged higher by 1.2% to ₹270.7.

ITC also rose 1.2% to ₹317.4.

The gains were led by power, coal, banking, healthcare and select energy stocks during the session.
