Leading the gainers’ list was Eicher Motors, which rose 6.1% to ₹7,742.5.
Apollo Hospitals Enterprise advanced 4.8% to ₹7,563.5, marking one of the strongest moves among healthcare stocks in the index.
Max Healthcare Institute gained 2.6% to ₹1,048.0 during the session.
State Bank of India traded 2.1% higher at ₹1,168.0.
In the automobile space, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles moved up 1.6% to ₹385.3, while Maruti Suzuki India added 1.5% to trade at ₹15,367.0.
Mahindra & Mahindra rose 1.4% to ₹3,726.8.
Among pharma stocks, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories climbed 1.1% to ₹1,270.2.
InterGlobe Aviation gained 1.1% to ₹5,014.9 in midday trade.
Bajaj Auto also edged up 1.0% to ₹9,867.0.
