Telecom stocks witnessed a bearish trend as Nifty declined by 1.22% (-274.40 points) to 22,270.65. Bharti Hexacom was the biggest loser in the telecom sector, plunging 4.74% to ₹1,244.15. MTNL also saw a significant drop of 2.68%, closing at ₹42.43. Indus Towers declined 2.35%, ending the session at ₹330.30.

Bharti Airtel was down by 2.11%, closing at ₹1,615.50. Vodafone Idea also fell by 2.82%, settling at ₹7.58.

The telecom sector mirrored the overall market sentiment, with all major stocks closing in the red amid continued selling pressure.
