Tejas Networks is in the spotlight after Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) formally launched its 4G network, marking a major milestone in the state-run telecom company’s long-delayed expansion push.

The rollout, which is expected to be completed across the country by the end of September, follows a soft launch in Delhi last month where BSNL used a partner network to provide seamless 4G connectivity through supported devices and SIM cards.

BSNL’s aggressive push to expand its 4G services is part of a larger revival plan to regain market share in India’s highly competitive telecom sector. The company has already invested around ₹25,000 crore in its 4G infrastructure and has committed an additional ₹47,000 crore for upgrading its network.

Tejas Networks, which supplies BSNL with 4G/5G radio access network (RAN) equipment and IP/MPLS routers, is positioned as a key beneficiary of this expansion. Analysts note that the company is also well placed to capitalize on BSNL’s upcoming standalone 5G rollout, further strengthening its presence in the domestic telecom equipment space under the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiative.
