Tata Motors shares dropped more than 2% in morning trade after the company reported a drop in total sales for Q2 FY 2024-25, with 215,034 vehicles sold, down from 243,024 units in the same quarter last year.
Domestic and international vehicle sales fell 11.52% to 2,15,034 units in September 2024, compared to 2,43,024 units sold in September 2023.
The company’s total domestic sales in September 2024 reached at 69,694 vehicles, a 15.03% decrease from 82,023 units in September 2023. Total commercial vehicle sales fell 23.12% to 30,032 units in September 2024, from 39,064 units in the same period the prior year.
Domestic sales of MH&ICV fell 23.62% year on year to 14,190 units in September 2024. Total passenger car sales (including EVs) fell 9% to 41,313 units in September 2024, down from 45,317 units sold in the same time previous year.
