Tanfac Industries Limited, one of India’s leading fluorine chemical producers, announced the successful commissioning of the second phase of its 5,000 TPA (AHF basis) Solar Grade Dilute Hydro Fluoric Acid (DHF) Plant, following the approval of quality standards for its trial production batches.
With this expansion, the company has doubled its total solar-grade DHF capacity to 10,000 TPA (AHF basis), solidifying its position as the only Indian chemical manufacturer to achieve this milestone. The first phase of the project was commissioned in June 2025, marking a significant leap in India’s chemical manufacturing capabilities catering to the fast-growing solar energy sector.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Afzal Malkani, Director at Tanfac Industries, said,

The new facility, built within an 8–12 month implementation period, reflects Tanfac’s commitment to high-purity production and sustainable industrial expansion.
