Suprajit Engineering (SEL) shares rose 4% following the announcement of a strategic partnership with Chuo Spring Company Limited of Japan. The collaboration establishes a 50:50 joint venture (JV) in India, aimed at designing, manufacturing, and supplying high-quality transmission cables. The JV will also benefit from a Technical Assistance (TA) agreement, which will grant Chuo access to advanced cable technology.

Initially, the JV will cater to India’s leading Japanese PV OEMs, expanding SEL’s product portfolio and strengthening its position in the growing transmission cable market. This partnership is expected to drive growth and enhance SEL’s market presence.

As of 10:58 am, Suprajit Engineering shares were trading 3.61% higher at Rs 466.80 on the NSE.
