The US markets ended in the red on Friday with the Dow Jones index declining over 150 points. Back home on Friday, both Sensex and Nifty ended higher on the run up to record high levels. The Sensex ended higher by 376 points, while the Nifty gained 130 points to end at 22,040.

LIC (Life Insurance Corporation of India): Shares of LIC will be in focus today after the country’s largest insurer on Friday received received refund orders for Rs 21,740.77 crore from the Income Tax Department. LIC received refund orders for Assessment Years 2012- 13, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 — with the total amount of refund worth Rs 25,464.46 crore.
Tata Power: Tata Power on Friday announced that the company has received Letter of Intent (LOI) from REC Power Development and Consultancy to acquire Jalpura Khurja Power Transmission which is a project special purpose vehicle (SPV) for Rs 838 crore.
Paytm: Paytm (One97 Communications) on Friday said that the company’s QR codes, soundboxes will continue to work for the customers, even after the extended deadline of March 15, by the RBI. The company also announced that it has shifted its Nodal Account to Axis Bank.
