Azad Engineering Limited has signed a long-term contract worth $82.89 million (approximately ₹700 crore) with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), Japan. The contract involves supplying highly engineered and complex rotating and stationary airfoils for advanced gas and thermal power turbine engines. This partnership aims to meet MHI’s global demand in the power generation sector.

The scope of Azad Engineering’s role includes land acquisition, design, engineering, procurement, logistics, and various stages of project execution, such as manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the 150 MWac grid-connected ground-mounted solar PV power plant. Additionally, Azad will handle power evacuation infrastructure to the STU substation and provide three years of operation and maintenance services, covering the plant’s switchyard and transmission infrastructure.

This international contract will be executed over a period of five years, further strengthening Azad Engineering’s relationship with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and contributing to advancements in energy solutions.
