The BSE Sensex and Nifty50, India’s equity benchmark indices, jumped significantly in trade on Friday, reaching lifetime highs. While the BSE Sensex surpassed 84,500, the Nifty50 rose above 25,800. The BSE Sensex closed the day at 84,544.31, up 1,360 points, or 1.63%. Nifty50 completed at 25,790.95, up 375 points, or 1.48%.
