Sensex touched an intraday high of 52,067.22 at 11:10 AM and an intraday low of 51,600.16 at 1:36 PM. Nifty made it’s intraday high of 15,312.65 at 12:37 PM and stooped down to 15,175.50 at 1:39 PM.
From a sector-wise perspective, the Automotive sector showed no change since the last closing and was up 0.01%. At combined Market Cap, the stocks of Banking & Financial Firms were down by 0.35%. Prime financial services index Nifty Bank closed down by Rs 187.45 by 0.51% at Rs 36,910.95.
Engineering & Capital Goods had shown a positive change. BSE Cap Goods was up 0.59% at 22,193.33. Media & Entertainment stocks were the best performers for the day with their Market Cap resting at 88,458.13 which was higher than yesterday by 1,525.76 points at 1.76%.
State Bank of India’s stock on NSE today was the most active stock today. SBI closed at INR 413.40 up by 11.05 at 2.75%. It had the highest volume in the market today at 74,160,805.
