SML Isuzu shares rose over 5% following the release of the company’s fourth-quarter financial results. The commercial vehicle manufacturer reported steady improvements across key financial metrics compared to the same period last year. As of 2:14 PM, the shares were trading 4.42% higher at Rs 1,917.00.
The company reported a modest year-on-year increase in net profit, which reached ₹53 crore compared to ₹52.3 crore in the same period last year.
Revenue for the quarter stood at ₹771.4 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 13.5%. The company also recorded a 27% year-on-year rise in EBITDA, which increased to ₹90.4 crore from ₹71.2 crore a year earlier. This translated to an improvement in operating margin, which rose to 11.72% from 10.48% in the corresponding quarter last year.
SML Isuzu shares opened at ₹1,848 today, hitting a high of ₹1,934 and a low of ₹1,800 during the session. It remains below its 52-week high of ₹2,293.70 but well above the 52-week low of ₹1,028.40.
