Silver prices surged to a record high of ₹1,27,241 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on September 11, 2025. The metal jumped ₹1,960 or 1.57% from its previous close of ₹1,25,180.
During the session, silver opened at ₹1,25,081 and traded in the range of ₹1,24,598 to ₹1,27,241. The rally was supported by strong buying interest, with a total volume of 600,480 lots traded and an open interest (OI) increase of 7.52% to 18,453 contracts, indicating a long buildup.
The sharp uptick in silver prices comes amid heightened global economic uncertainty and investor preference for safe-haven assets.
