Investor Siddhartha Yog has acquired 10.73 lakh shares in Trent Ltd. through a block deal on Tuesday. The shares were bought at Rs 7,533 apiece, amounting to Rs 808.53 crore. The seller in this transaction was Dodona Holdings, which offloaded the same number of shares, representing a 0.3% stake in the company.
Earlier this month, Dodona Holdings had also sold 10.09 lakh shares for Rs 718 crore, with Siddhartha Yog being the buyer on that occasion as well.
Trent’s financial performance has been strong, with the company reporting a 134.1% rise in net profit to Rs 391 crore in the quarter ending June 30, 2024. Revenue also saw a 56.2% jump, reaching Rs 4,104 crore compared to Rs 2,628 crore in the same period last year.
Trent’s shares closed slightly lower on Tuesday, down 0.14% at Rs 761.15 apiece, while the BSE Sensex fell by 0.02%. Despite this, Trent’s stock has surged 253.32% in the last 12 months.
