Mumbai, July 6: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday rallied 322 points at 53,456.47 as buying was seen in Finance, Health Care, Industrials and IT stocks.
The Nifty too rose 85.20 points at 15,896.05.
The Sensex registered days high and low at 53,505.93 and 53,143.28 points respectively.
The Nifty registered days high and low at 15,905 and 15,800.90 points respectively.
The Mid Cap rose by 0.40 per cent and Small Cap by 0.17 per cent.
In 30 scrips, 24 advanced while 6 declined.
The gainers were Bajaj finance by 3 per cent to Rs 5832, Asian Paints by 2.69 per cent to Rs 2840.60, Hind Unilever by 2.25 per cent to Rs 2455.50, M& M by 2.09 per cent to Rs 1105 and Maruti Suzuki by 1.66 per cent to Rs 8483.
The losers were Tata Steel by 2.27 per cent to Rs 840.75, NTPC by 1.56 per cent to Rs 138.55. Powergrid by 1.28 per cent to Rs 211.35 and Reliance Industries by 0.68 per cent to Rs 2416.75.
