Sensex ends negative at 66,017.81 points

The BSE Sensex on Thursday fell by 5.43 points to settle at 66,017.81.

Mumbai, Nov 23 : Snapping a winning streak of last two sessions, the BSE Sensex on Thursday fell by 5.43 points to settle at 66,017.81 as selling was seen in Health Care, IT and Technology stocks.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) eased 9.85 points at 19,802.00.

The Sensex rose 61 points to open at 66,084.37.

It was advanced 212 points at 66,235.24 days high. Later, it went in red, as it fell 43 pts at 65,980.50, days low, before closing at 66,017.8, easing 5.43 pts as compared to its previous close.

The stocks, which include Health Care, IT and Technology dragged the market as Health Care slipped by 1.13 pc followed by IT by 0.46 pc and Technology by 0.26 pc.

In scrips, Ultracemco was a major loser, fell by 1.67 pc to Rs 8654, L&T by 0.92 pc to Rs 3053.55, Bajaj Finance by 0.71 pc to Rs 7075..05 and TCS by 0.58 pc to Rs 3509.20.

The gainers were IndusInd Bank by 1.16 pc to Rs 1487.65, JSW Steel by 1.05 pc to Rs 776.40, Bharti Airtel by 0.96 pc to Rs 978.65 and Wipro.

The Mid Cap rose by 0.15 pc and the Small Cap by 0.44 pc.

In 30 scrips, 15 advanced and 15 declined.
