Refex Industries saw its shares climb more than 11% after the company announced a major new contract in the ash-handling and industrial services space. The project, valued at around ₹100 crore, involves the excavation, loading and transportation of pond ash and bottom ash—an operational segment where Refex has steadily built a strong presence over the years.

According to the company, the order has been awarded by a large Indian business conglomerate, further strengthening Refex’s portfolio of domestic industrial projects. Since the awarding entity is based in India, the entire execution will also take place within the country, adding to the firm’s pipeline of quick-turnaround commercial assignments.

The scope of work covers the full cycle of ash management, starting from the excavation stage and moving through systematic loading and end-to-end transportation. Refex has been steadily increasing its foothold in this specialised environmental management area, and this contract adds another significant milestone to its growing list of operational capabilities.
