Shares of Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals Ltd were trading higher by 2.41% at ₹40.02 on April 8, gaining ₹0.94 from the previous close of ₹39.08. The stock touched an intraday high of ₹41.50 and a low of ₹39.77. The market capitalization stood at ₹1.33 billion.

The stock movement comes after the company disclosed its operational data for the month of March 2025 across its three units — Varadarajnagar (Unit I), Mundiyampakkam (Unit II), and Semmedu (Unit III).

Key highlights from the March 2025 operational update:

Unit I – Varadarajnagar (Theni District):

  • Cane crushed: 79,914 MT in March, totaling 276,552 MT for the season
  • Sugar production: 7,138 MT in March, 23,421 MT season-to-date
  • Sugar sales: 10,680 MT in March, 24,559 MT season-to-date
  • Power export to grid: 81.33 lakh units

Unit II – Mundiyampakkam (Villupuram District):

  • Cane crushed: 84,237 MT in March, 212,187 MT season-to-date
  • Sugar production: 7,701 MT in March, 17,940 MT season-to-date
  • Sugar sales: 4,667 MT in March, 14,139 MT season-to-date
  • Power export to grid: 54.29 lakh units

Unit III – Semmedu (Villupuram District):

  • Cane crushed: 38,350 MT in March, 70,948 MT season-to-date

  • Sugar sales: 1,801 MT in March, 6,309 MT season-to-date
  • Power export to grid: 5.71 lakh units

The company’s sugar production and power generation across its units remained steady. While the numbers were largely routine for the season, a jump in sales volumes in Unit I likely contributed to the slight positive investor sentiment today.
