Rajesh Power Services Limited on Friday announced that it has received an order worth ₹61.53 crore from Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) for a turnkey contract under the Kisan Suryodaya Yojana scheme.
Project details
The contract involves the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 11 KV Medium Voltage Covered Conductor (MVCC) in the Porbandar Circle of PGVCL. The project is to be executed within nine months and has been awarded by a domestic entity.
The company clarified that the order has been received in the normal course of business and does not fall under related party transactions. Neither the promoter group nor group companies have any interest in PGVCL.
Strategic significance
The Kisan Suryodaya Yojana is aimed at strengthening rural electricity infrastructure and ensuring reliable daytime power supply for farmers in Gujarat. Rajesh Power’s involvement in the project is expected to support state-level electrification goals and expand its execution portfolio in the power infrastructure segment.
