RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. shares gained 5% on Monday after the company announced that it has secured a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) worth ₹209.78 crore from the Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC). As of 9:19 AM, the shares were trading 5.50% higher at Rs 395.20.

The contract, awarded by the State Project Director, BEPC, falls under the PM SHRI scheme for Implementation of Education Quality Enhancement in Bihar. The project is a domestic supply order and is expected to be completed by September 11, 2026.

RailTel confirmed in its exchange filing that the order does not involve related party transactions, and its promoters have no interest in the awarding entity. The company officially received the LOA on September 12, 2025.
