Shares of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) jumped 2% after securing a significant Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract worth ₹625.08 crore, inclusive of GST. The project, awarded by South Central Railway, involves the doubling of a 58.06 km track between Parbhani and Parli stations in Maharashtra, excluding the Gangakhed Yard (6.775 km).
In addition to track doubling, the contract covers electrification and signaling works, with a completion timeline of 30 months. This initiative aims to boost rail infrastructure and connectivity in the region, significantly enhancing efficiency and capacity for rail transport.
