All eyes are on Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) as the oil-to-telecom conglomerate is set to announce its Q2 FY26 results today, Friday, October 17. Analysts expect the Mukesh Ambani-led company to deliver a strong double-digit growth in revenue and profit, driven by improved performance in its oil-to-chemicals (O2C), retail, and telecom segments.
Revenue and profit expectations
According to street estimates, Reliance’s consolidated revenue is likely to grow 8–11% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 2.52–2.57 lakh crore, compared to Rs 2.31 lakh crore in the corresponding quarter last year. On a sequential basis, revenue is expected to rise 2–5% from Rs 2.43 lakh crore in Q1 FY26.
Meanwhile, net profit is projected to increase 10–11% YoY, reaching Rs 21,320–21,475 crore, versus Rs 19,323 crore in Q2 FY25. However, profit remains lower compared to Rs 30,783 crore recorded in the preceding quarter.
EBITDA is anticipated to climb 14–16% YoY to around Rs 44,550–44,850 crore, supported by steady growth across Reliance’s diverse business verticals.
Segment performance and key factors
The company’s O2C division is likely to benefit from improved refining margins and stable demand for petrochemical products. Its retail arm is expected to see healthy footfall and revenue growth, while Jio’s telecom segment could post consistent subscriber additions and steady ARPU gains.
Investors will focus on management commentary regarding margin trends, consumer spending outlook, and the performance of its new energy and digital ventures.
Stock movement
Ahead of the results, Reliance shares rose 1% on Thursday to Rs 1,378 on the NSE. Year-to-date, the stock has gained over 13%, outperforming the broader Nifty index.
