RailTel Corporation of India Ltd., a PSU under the Ministry of Railways, posted a net profit of ₹66.1 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025 (Q1 FY26), marking a growth of 35.8% compared to ₹48.67 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company’s revenue from operations surged 33% year-on-year to ₹743.8 crore in Q1 FY26, as against ₹558.1 crore reported in Q1 FY25. Total income stood at ₹758.16 crore, up from ₹577.56 crore a year ago.
The strong performance was driven by a sharp increase in project-related expenses, indicating elevated project execution during the quarter. Expenses on projects rose to ₹387.45 crore in Q1 FY26 from ₹220.76 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year.
Total expenses rose to ₹672.3 crore, compared to ₹493.26 crore last year.
On the operational front, EBITDA stood higher, supported by improved execution, despite slight increases in employee benefits and depreciation costs.
Profit before tax came in at ₹89.31 crore, up from ₹66.78 crore YoY. The tax expense stood at ₹23.21 crore, including deferred tax and current tax.
The company had reported a full-year profit of ₹299.81 crore in FY25 with annual revenue crossing ₹3,477 crore.
