NLC India Limited reported a mixed performance in the second quarter of FY26, with a notable drop in profitability despite solid revenue and operating growth.
The company’s net profit fell 27.1% year-on-year to ₹665 crore compared to ₹912 crore in the same period last year. However, revenue from operations rose 14% to ₹4,178.4 crore from ₹3,657.3 crore a year ago, reflecting improved demand and higher generation output.
EBITDA surged 30.5% YoY to ₹1,400 crore versus ₹1,073 crore in Q2 FY25, supported by better efficiency and cost optimization measures. The EBITDA margin improved to 33.5% from 29.3%, indicating stronger operational performance.
