Newgen Software reported mixed financial performance in its Q3 results, with profitability under pressure on a quarter-on-quarter basis even as operating metrics showed limited improvement. The company’s net profit declined 23.2% QoQ to ₹63 crore compared with ₹82 crore in the previous quarter, reflecting softer bottom-line performance during the period.

Revenue remained largely flat, slipping marginally by 0.2% QoQ to ₹400.3 crore from ₹401 crore in Q2. The near-unchanged revenue indicates stable business activity, though it did not translate into higher profits during the quarter.

On the operational front, EBIT showed improvement, rising 3.1% QoQ to ₹97 crore compared with ₹94.4 crore in the preceding quarter. Operating margin also expanded to 24.2% from 23.5% QoQ, suggesting better cost control and operational efficiency despite the pressure on net profit.
