Jindal SAW Ltd reported a weak performance for the third quarter, with key financial metrics declining on a year-on-year basis, reflecting pressure on margins and operating profitability during the period.

For Q3, the company posted a net profit of ₹258 crore, marking a sharp decline of 49% compared with ₹506 crore reported in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue for the quarter stood at ₹4,943 crore, down 6.2% from ₹5,271 crore recorded in the same period last year.

Operating performance also weakened, with EBITDA declining 34.8% year-on-year to ₹612.9 crore from ₹939.6 crore in Q3 of the previous financial year. As a result, EBITDA margin compressed significantly to 12.4%, compared with a strong 17.8% margin reported a year ago.
