Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) reported a revenue of Rs 18,693 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, marking an 8.1% decline from Rs 20,365 crore reported in the same period last year.

The company posted a net loss of Rs 40.10 crore in Q1 FY26, compared to a net profit of Rs 357.03 crore in Q1 FY25. The performance was impacted by higher excise duty costs, which rose to Rs 3,871 crore from Rs 3,266 crore YoY, and a loss in inventory valuation of Rs 83.16 crore during the quarter.

Total expenses stood at Rs 18,772.80 crore, slightly below total income of Rs 18,692.74 crore. Profit before exceptional items and tax came in at a loss of Rs 80.06 crore.
