Shares of PCBL (Phillips Carbon Black Limited) climbed nearly 3% today, trading 2.60% higher at ₹441.95 on NSE as of 9:21 am. The stock surged after the Andhra Pradesh government approved the allotment of 116.62 acres of land in the Naidupeta MP Special Economic Zone (MPSEZ) for the company’s Rs 3,718 crore manufacturing project.
The proposed facility will produce New Rubber Black and value-added chemicals, generating direct employment for 200 individuals and numerous indirect job opportunities. The land has been allocated at Rs 1,948 per square metre, pending the denotification of the Naidupeta SEZ.
In a significant push for industrial growth in the region, the Andhra Pradesh government also greenlit a Rs 5,001 crore LG Electronics plant in Sri City, which will manufacture refrigerators, air conditioners, and washing machines, creating over 1,495 direct jobs.
These developments underline the government’s commitment to transforming the Tirupati district into a manufacturing hub, boosting both economic activity and employment opportunities.
