The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) have confirmed that live trading sessions will be conducted on Saturday, February 1, 2025. The decision aligns with the presentation of the Union Budget for the financial year 2025–26 by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. This special trading day will enable market participants to react in real time to Budget announcements.
Equity Market Timings and Operations:
As per the NSE circular, trading sessions will follow standard market timings:
- Pre-Open Session: 9:00 AM to 9:08 AM (random closure in the last one minute).
- Normal Market: 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Block Deal Sessions:
- Session 1: 8:45 AM to 9:00 AM.
- Session 2: 2:05 PM to 2:20 PM.
- Post-Closing Session: 3:40 PM to 4:00 PM.
- Trade Modification Cut-Off Time: 4:15 PM.
Additionally, the “T0” session will not be scheduled on February 1, 2025, due to the settlement holiday.
