Indian equity markets extended their losing streak for the fifth straight session on September 25, with the Nifty closing below the 24,900 mark. The Nifty fell 166.05 points to settle at 24,890.85, while the Sensex declined 555.95 points to end at 81,159.68.   • Hindalco Industries ended at ₹745.5, higher by 0.6%.

  • Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) settled at ₹239.8, up 0.5%.

  • Axis Bank closed at ₹1,162.7, rising 0.3%.

  • Bharti Airtel ended at ₹1,934.7, up 0.2%.

  • Sun Pharmaceutical Industries closed at ₹1,629.0, higher by 0.1%.

  • Bajaj Auto settled at ₹8,842.0, flat with marginal gains.
