Top Gainers
Apollo Hospitals emerged as the star performer of the day, soaring 8.2% to ₹7,830 after a strong buying momentum. Hindalco followed with a 5% rise to ₹700.5, supported by gains in metal stocks. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories climbed 2.7% to ₹1,253.4, while Cipla advanced 2.5% to ₹1,560. Hero MotoCorp also saw robust traction, ending 2.4% higher at ₹4,754.5. Other notable gainers included Bharat Electronics (up 2.2% to ₹388.9), Eternal (up 2.1% to ₹312.4), Mahindra & Mahindra (up 1.8% to ₹3,294), HDFC Life Insurance (up 1.5% to ₹778) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 1.5% to ₹1,988.7).
Top Losers
On the flip side, IndusInd Bank was the biggest laggard, slipping 1.2% to ₹773.5. Adani Ports declined 0.7% to ₹1,320.9, while ITC shed 0.5% to ₹414.2. Titan fell 0.4% to ₹3,471.8 and Tech Mahindra dropped 0.4% to ₹1,504. UltraTech Cement ended 0.3% lower at ₹12,411, Axis Bank slipped 0.3% to ₹1,066.9, and NTPC eased 0.1% to ₹339.8. ICICI Bank and Wipro also closed marginally lower, down 0.1% each to ₹1,420.8 and ₹241.6, respectively.
