Nifty surges over 500 points sharply to hit fresh record highs today

The Nifty 50 saw a strong surge today, climbing 500 points to reach a new record high as it closed at 25,367.80. The rally was driven by gains in metal and auto stocks, with key players like Reliance and Tata Motors seeing significant activity. At 3:01 pm, the Sensex also jumped by 1,392.61 points, standing at 82,915.77.

On the NSE, 2,045 shares advanced, while 1,367 declined, and 80 remained unchanged. The Nifty Bank index also performed well, closing at 51,602.60, up by 1.16%. Midcap and smallcap stocks continued their positive trend, with Nifty Midcap 100 rising by 1.2% and Nifty Smallcap 100 by 1.02%.

Among the most active stocks, Reliance gained 1.37%, Tata Motors was up 0.37%, and Bharti Airtel saw a jump of 3.92%.
