Shares of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) surged 3% after the company released its impressive financial results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2024.

The shipbuilder reported a remarkable revenue from operations of ₹2,756.83 crores, a significant increase from ₹1,827.70 crores in the same quarter last year, highlighting the company’s growth momentum.

In addition, MDL’s net interest income for the quarter was recorded at ₹254.28 crores. While this reflects a slight decline from ₹271.00 crores in the previous quarter, it shows resilience compared to ₹251.48 crores in Q2 FY2023. The company’s profit before tax reached ₹740.49 crores, demonstrating robust year-on-year growth from ₹406.64 crores in Q2 FY2023.

As of 1:33 pm, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders shares were trading 3.61% highter at Rs 4,172.50 on the NSE.
