
The indices are trading positive on market opening amid mixed global cues as US markets ended with mixed figures and trends on SGX Nifty indicated a flat to negative opening. The markets in the previous session ended flat after gaining in the early session with Nifty 50 index holding at 11,300 at close. The support level for Nifty is placed at 11,260 and 11,349 is the level if the index moves up.
At 9:16 IST, Sensex was trading at 38445, higher by 134 points, or 0.35%. Nifty 50 up 40 points, or 0.36%, at 11341.
Yesterday, Sensex closed 59 points, or 0.15 percent, lower at 38,310.49 on August 13 and the Nifty ended at 11,300.45, with a loss of 8 points, or 0.07 percent.
Stocks of Tata Steel and BPCL will be in major focus after the companies posted their Q1 results yesterday.
