The benchmark indices on Monday opened lower on weak global cues as SGX Nifty indicated negative opening for the indices.
At 9:16 IST, Sensex was at 37392.62 down by 214 points or 0.57%, Nifty was trading at 11021.05 down by 52 points or 0.47%.
Previously at close, Sensex closed lower by 129 points or 0.34% at 37606, Nifty at 11073 down by 28 points or 0.26%
