Indices closed higher with Sensex and Nifty up by over 1% each at market closing. Share markets today opened positive backed by the global cues as SGX Nifty showed green figures at opening.

At Close, Sensex was trading at 37020 up by 548.46 points or 1.50% and Nifty was up nearly 161 points or 1.51% at 10901.85 on July 17.

The stocks of Metal, Banks and Petroleum sector led the market to strong figures and help the market surge on the last trading day of week.
